Cookie policy

On this website I collect and use information as explained in the privacy policy. One of the ways I do so is through cookies. Here I tell you which ones I use, what for and how you can choose.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge…) when you visit it. It lets the website remember things from one page to another or from one visit to the next. In this policy I also use "cookies" to mean similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage or measurement pixels.
A cookie is not a virus or a program: it cannot read the files on your computer. Nor does it store data such as your card details or passwords. What it stores is technical, statistical or preference data, linked to your browser and not to you: if you visit with another browser, the website does not know you are the same person.
Types of cookies
- Technical: needed for the website to work and be secure. They do not require your consent.
- Analytics: measure how many visits arrive, where from and which pages are read.
- Advertising: measure which ads generate enquiries and make it possible to show ads to people who have already visited the website.
Depending on who manages them, they are first-party (set by this website) or third-party (set by another provider, such as Google or Meta).
Which cookies this website uses
Technical cookies are always set. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie notice. Until you choose, they are not set.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
lps_consent | Lupaseo (first-party) | Store your cookie choice so you are not asked again. | 12 months | Technical |
__cf_bm, cf_clearance and similar | Cloudflare | Security: tell humans from bots and protect the contact form. | 30 minutes to 1 year | Technical |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguish visitors in order to count visits statistically. | 2 years | Analytics |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keep the state of the measurement session. | 2 years | Analytics |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Know whether a visit came from an ad and measure the enquiries it generates. | 90 days | Advertising |
IDE, test_cookie | Google (doubleclick.net) | Show Google ads to people who have already visited the website and measure them. | 15 minutes to 13 months | Advertising |
_fbp, _fbc | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Measure Meta ads and show them to people who have already visited the website. | 90 days | Advertising |
OpenAI cookies | OpenAI | Measure the ads shown on its services. | According to its policy | Advertising |
On the page my Google ads lead to, the WhatsApp button is a ToChat service, which may store technical data in your browser in order to work.
I use Google Tag Manager to load these tools with Google's consent mode: if you reject, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not set cookies in your browser.
The names and durations of third-party cookies are set by each provider and may change. You will find the details in their policies:
How to accept, reject or change your choice
The first time you visit, I ask you with a notice at the bottom of the screen. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and under "Settings" you can choose by type. Your choice is stored for 12 months; after that period I will ask you again.
You can change it or withdraw your consent whenever you like from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or here:
How to delete or block cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies, in general or only for one website, from your browser settings. If you delete them, the website will ask you again.
